Rekonstruksi Paradigma Apologetika Kristen Berdasarkan1 Petrus 3:15 bagi Penguatan Identitas dan Misi Gereja Kontemporer

Abstract
The rapid growth of the digital society, increasing religious pluralism, and rising skepticism toward the Christian faith require the church to develop an apologetic paradigm that extends beyond doctrinal defense toward transformative witness. This study aims to reconstruct the paradigm of Christian apologetics based on 1 Peter 3:15 and to examine its contribution to strengthening the identity and mission of the contemporary church. Employing a qualitative library research approach, this study conducts a theological analysis of 1 Peter 3:15 supported by recent scholarly literature on apologetics, ecclesiology, and the Missio Dei. The findings demonstrate that apologetics in 1 Peter 3:15 is fundamentally an expression of a Christ-centered life rooted in Christian hope and manifested through gentleness and respect. Furthermore, this study reconstructs the apologetic paradigm by shifting its emphasis from defensive to transformative apologetics, from rationality alone to the integration of character and rationality, and from individual activity to ecclesial responsibility. This reconstructed paradigm strengthens the church's Christ-centered identity, witness, mission, and ministerial relevance in contemporary society.
