Harapan Eskatologis sebagai Landasan Rekonstruksi Etika Publik dalam Menghadapi Krisis Moral

Abstract
Krisis moral kontemporer menunjukkan bahwa etika publik yang bertumpu pada regulasi, konsensus sosial, atau rasionalitas prosedural belum mampu memberikan orientasi moral yang memadai. Sementara itu, harapan eskatologis masih sering dipahami sebagai doktrin mengenai masa depan sehingga kontribusinya terhadap pembentukan etika publik belum dirumuskan secara sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan merekonstruksi harapan eskatologis sebagai landasan teologis bagi etika publik dalam menghadapi krisis moral. Penelitian menggunakan metode library research dengan pendekatan teologi biblika-kanonis dan analisis konseptual melalui telaah kritis terhadap narasi Alkitab serta literatur teologi eskatologis dan teologi publik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harapan eskatologis merupakan horizon teologis yang menghubungkan penciptaan, penebusan, dan pembaruan ciptaan sekaligus membentuk orientasi moral bagi kehidupan publik. Rekonstruksi tersebut menghasilkan model etika publik yang bercirikan dimensi profetis, transformatif, dan antisipatoris serta berimplikasi pada penguatan integritas, pengembangan budaya perdamaian dan rekonsiliasi, serta penguatan kesaksian gereja di ruang publik.
