Kontekstualisasi Penginjilan dalam Adat Duan-Lolat : Studi Misiologis Terhadap Rekonsiliasi Budaya dan Iman Kristen di Kepulauan Tanimbar

Abstract

Evangelistic contextualization in the Tanimbar Islands must bring theological integrity into dialogue with Duan-Lolat, a system that continues to shape relationships. This study analyzes the reconciliatory values of Duan-Lolat, evaluates them theologically, and constructs a contextual model of evangelism for Tanimbar society. Using qualitative library research, the study applies missiological, theological, and contextual analysis to literature on Duan-Lolat, reconciliation, and the relationship between gospel and culture. The findings show that kinship, peace, solidarity, responsibility, respect, and deliberation can function as relational bridges for evangelism. Nevertheless, hierarchical relations and the absolutization of customary authority require reinterpretation in the light of Christ. The study constructs four dimensions of contextualization, namely Duan-Lolat as a relational bridge, reconciliation as an entry point for evangelism, reinterpretation of customary values in the light of Christ, and the church as a partner in cultural reconciliation. Thus, Christian faith can become contextually rooted without losing its theological integrity.
